THE CURACAO SHOOT

Yet another assignment in the Tropics, as the Island of Curacao commissioned their Official Tourism Video!  TPT's Jim Zura and the Travelview Crew recently spent seven weeks (over two trips) shooting in this Dutch Caribbean paradise.

The beautiful and historic Handelskaad overlooks the natural deep-water harbor, on the Punda side of Willemstad, Curacao.

Curacao is in the southernmost portion of the Caribbean, 40 miles off the coast of Venezuela, between Aruba and Bonaire.  First set foot on by Spanish explorers in 1599, the Dutch Conquest of 1634 and the influence of African culture set much of the colorful aesthetic tone that can be enjoyed today.

The beauty in diversity, both in nature and culture, is the essence of the Curacao experience.  Beautiful pristine beaches lace the long southwest stretch of the island, while mountains and cactus provide the landscape of the interior.
"It was an incredible shoot-- every day, something different.   Beach parties, fine dining, underwater splendor, elegant accommodations, down-to-earth people, spectacular scenery...  It's a beautiful place, and we worked long days to get the pictures to prove it!"  -- Jim Zura

"There's an incredible amount of things to see and do in Curacao.  I know, 'cause it took us seven weeks to shoot it all!   Plus, it is south of the Hurricane Belt, so you never have to worry about the weather.  I even got to swim with dolphins, which was certainly a lifetime experience"--  Jim Zura
