The prestigious Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas recently celebrated their 100-year anniversary with a series of spectacular sold-out events.  "Centimental Journey," held at the campus' Brown Auditorium, was a non-stop extravaganza featuring ensemble acts of music and comedy onstage.

Event Co-Producer Gloria Tenenbown kicked off the show.
Jim Zura produced 22 video segments and 21 PowerPoints, including decade transitions and montages depicting the eras.  Jim was also onsite to call and execute the cues for the program elements.

Kinkaid alum Jeff Martin provided a lively and humorous commentary.  His credits include being a staff writer for David Letterman and The Simpsons.

Animated mascot Frankie the Falcon was the interruptive "co-host," with voice provided by Jim Zura.

1950 Kinkaid alum A.J.  Carothers had a notable career as a writer for Disney.  Sadly, he passed away in 2007.

The changing stage was abuzz with talent, with past and current Kinkaid performers.

Emily and Holcombe Crosswell were responsible for all of the events for the year-long Kinkaid Centennial celebrations.  Each one was a resounding success.
Longtime friend of the Kinkaid Drama Department, the legendary Academy-Award-winning Richard M. Sherman (above) headlined the show, bringing down the house with a medley of his well-known hits.

He and his brother Robert wrote some of the most memorable songs of all time, including Disney hits from the 1960's through Lion King, along with the the rock hit "You're Sixteen", and the most translated and performed song of all time "It's A Small World (After All)"-  which you still hear on every neighborhood ice-cream truck!
