FORMER PRESIDENT JUMPS FROM PLANE |

| COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- 41st President George H.W. Bush embellished his 80th birthday festivities by parachuting from an airplane 13,500 feet above his namesake library. The Golden Knights team of U.S. Army paratroopers accompanied him and provided their Twin Otter airplane. | |
| Jim Zura, Texas Production Team’s Director of Photography was with the President onboard the plane for the jump. In fact, while scores of media assembled on the ground, Jim was the only television cameraman permitted onboard. He was positioned at the end seat next to the open hatch, directly across from Mr. Bush in the relatively small aircraft. “It was truly an honor, a privilege and a thrill to spend 10 minutes chatting with the former president as we climbed to altitude, observing the beautiful countryside below, then catching the ‘money-shot’ as he deplaned,” commented Zura. | |
| Jim went up for two prior jumps with Chuck
Norris and Fox News' Brit Hume.
Many wondered why someone would partake in such activities at his age. Zura responded: “Heck, I’m not old at all!. Besides, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a monumental event!” |
